Some History about Pigeon Island, St. LuciaPigeon Island has been the
stronghold of pirates, barracks for soldiers, a whaling station, a private
residence and a yachtsmen's haven. It was leased to the St Lucia National
Trust on November 15th 1983 and was made St Lucia's first National Landmark.
The National Trust is responsible for the upkeep and restoration of the
existing buildings. |
